McCormick & Bouchard Eye Care LLC
As a valued patient of McCormick & Bouchard Eye Care, we appreciate the trust you place in us and want to inform you about how we are addressing the coronavirus (COVID-19) situation.
We are closely monitoring events in our local community and continuously updating our policies and protocols as a result of new information and per the Governor’s latest statement, we will be reopening and seeing patients in the office starting May 4.
Please know that our office is following all recommended guidance from public health authorities, including best practices for hygiene, infection control and medical professional team health. We feel confident in our ability to continue seeing patients and providing eye care according to the tradition of quality care that you have come to expect and deserve.
Our highest priority is to keep all of our patients and staff as safe as possible.
Therefore, at the recommendation of CDC, we will be taking patients’ temperatures and asking these screening questions prior to allowing them to enter the reception area.
- Have you traveled to/or from a COVID-19 affected geographic area within 14 days of symptom onset?
- Have you had close contact with a person who traveled to high risk sites or has COVID-19?
- Do you have fever and respiratory symptoms such as cough or shortness of breath?
Should you arrive at the office and have respond yes to any of these questions, you will be asked to return to your vehicle and to call our office for a telephone assessment so that we do not expose other patients and staff.
In addition, any patient seen in the office should arrive wearing their own face covering. You will be asked to wash or sanitize your hands upon entering and your temperature will be taken. Should you have a temperature above 100.4, you will be asked to reschedule your exam and follow up with your PCP.
Staff and doctors will be following all CDC guidelines as far as cleaning and disinfecting protocol. We have taken extra measures to install breath shields on all equipment where there is face-to-face contact.
We will only have one doctor and half our staff in on any given day so as to maintain social distancing as much as possible. We ask that only the person having the exam present to the office unless you are the direct caregiver or parent of a child. Siblings, spouses, friends etc. will be directed to wait outside in the vehicle.
Should you need to purchase glasses, please call ahead so that we can schedule a time that will allow us to have only one person in the optical at a time.
If you have any questions about this notification or your upcoming appointment, call the office.
Thank you for your continued trust and loyalty as we work together to fight this virus.
